Dream Four

A small group of students was gathered in an outdoor
setting. It reminded me of an ancient Greek amphitheater
with its broken and semi-hidden stone bleachers that were
almost completely covered with grass. My feet were bare,
and my hair was stroked by the gentle ocean breeze that was
blowing off of the turquoise ocean.

Rama sat in the grass with his back to the ocean. He
was facing the audience in the amphitheater. Humor and
lightness, which typically balanced the seriousness of the
study, were missing.
Rama said, “Being special has its
challenges.” As he spoke a sadness infiltrated the air,
